There's nothing more important to us than the safety and well-being of our customers and associates. As life safety professionals, our mission is to ensure we are protecting and saving lives, and that goes well beyond the life safety systems we design, inspect and maintain every day.
While the COVID-19 challenges are real and unprecedented, there is still the need to ensure your lives are not further interrupted by other things like a fire in your facility. Therefore, we are laying out our plan to address this new and quite frankly disturbing situation we are in while also considering why we are still an important part of your business today.
Since learning of the impacts of COVID-19, we quickly mobilized a CertaSite COVID-19 task force to lean in and focus on providing rapid response to the many evolving scenarios. Our initial priority was to do all we could to help contain and limit the spread of COVID-19. We have implemented new precautions and practices that ensure a healthy and safe experience for all, while at the same time, allowing us to continue to provide our life-saving services.
Below is an update on what we are doing, keeping safety top of mind.
CertaSite is deemed an essential business and all locations will remain open for regular service, repair and emergency service work to all businesses. As a provider of essential fire protection and life safety products and equipment necessary to maintaining a safe environment, we recognize the importance to be available to you during this time. If you are closed, now may be a good time to complete your required repairs and maintenance to keep your life safety systems up and running.
To protect both our employees and our customers we have implemented and reinforced our health safety protocols to slow the spread and support containment of COVID-19.
Below is what you can expect from us while we are onsite:
- Practice social distancing - keep 6’ from all other humans
- Service technicians conduct and complete a health survey for each job
- Protective gloves worn while onsite and while completing all work
- Each truck and technician are armed with hand sanitizer and will be disinfecting on a regular and frequent basis
In addition, we have put into place a COVID-19 emergency preparedness plan that has defined protocols and response measures for every possible scenario. This plan includes customer communications as well as the below impacts to our internal operations as noted below.
- At this time, all offices are closed to walk-in customers
- All office workers are working remotely
- Technicians are limited in their time at the office
- Launched a COVID-19 internal website for all associates to stay informed and educated on all preventative health and safety measures
Please know we have taken great measures to protect our associates and yours and are working diligently to support our associates as we navigate this current environment. We are taking this opportunity to continue in the training and development of our team and continue the development of meaningful programs that ultimately provide a better, more simplified service for you.
Please stay safe and healthy and let us know how we can better serve you. We welcome your questions and concerns and are here to continue serving the essential fire and life safety needs of your operation.
